Personal contact is the key to staffing this call center in just two weeks
A national weight loss company needed Pro Staff to hire 40 temporary call center workers within two weeks to be ready for its peak season from October through February. Pro Staff was tasked to recruit, qualify, and present candidates for the various available shifts:
- One recruiter handled all communication with the employer and also spoke to each qualified candidate in depth about the position and expectations.
- The employer’s hiring managers held face-to-face interviews of screened candidates at a Pro Staff location.
- Pro Staff conducted extensive orientation of new workers, covering schedules, policies, and procedures during the peak season.
The order for 40 call center workers was fulfilled by Pro Staff within the two-week timeframe. In addition, turnover was minimized through performance meetings with supervisors and weekly coaching sessions with the workers. Having exceeded expectations, Pro Staff was tapped two weeks later to fill another training class of 15 workers and was subsequently granted an exclusive staffing contract by the employer for its next peak season.
