Digital People Partners with Prime Digital Academy, to Connect New Grads with Top Employers

gI_134927_Ashley AllenThe demand for software development talent is greater than the availability of qualified professionals. In fact, 60% of U.S. companies have unfilled tech jobs. In an effort to boost the local talent pool, Digital People, a staffing and recruiting firm within Atterro Human Capital Group, has partnered with Prime Academy, an 18-week accelerated software engineering program founded by The Nerdery, a custom software design and development company in Minneapolis. Prime provides an immersive learning experience and connections to industry professionals.

Erik Johnson, a recent graduate, says he chose Prime for two reasons: “First, having a family, I didn’t have the ability to go to school every day for 2-4 years. I needed something that I could jump into and finish quickly. Second, I knew that The Nerdery was a leader in the industry and I had faith that they could teach me exactly what I needed to succeed.”

The sixth annual event will be held on Thursday, August 13 from 5pm-8pm at Marriott Depot’s Historic Shed in Minneapolis.

Several local businesses are coming together to sponsor this year’s event and more than 800 participants are expected to attend. Attendees will be able to choose from a line-up of fare from local and regional breweries and food truck vendors. There will also be live music, raffle prizes, and games.

“This is our third year sponsoring Brew Love and, while we have a great time with co-workers and clients, it’s encouraging to know that we’re also making an impact on others’ lives,” says Bryan Peglow, business development manager at Digital People-Minnesota.

RMH helps families stay together when a child is facing a life-threatening illness, ensuring that they have a home-away-from-home. Families are never required to pay for its services. RMH is Atterro’s charity of choice. Their associates regularly provide meals, game nights, and other activities to benefit RMH throughout the year. In addition to Brew Love, they organize an annual “Spring for a Cure” campaign to collect wish-list items for RMH locations in each of Atterro’s market cities.

Jody Christiansen, VP at Pro Staff-Minnesota, says, “We’re honored to support Ronald McDonald House’s mission to help keep families together during difficult times. Events like Brew Love raise much needed funds and attention for this worthy cause.”

Technical ProSource, an Atterro Company, Reveals Brand Refresh as Minneapolis Office Opens

Technical ProSource, an Atterro Company, Reveals Brand Refresh as Minneapolis Office Opens

Technical ProSource, an information technology staffing and recruiting firm within Atterro Human Capital Group, made several exciting announcements today, including the unveiling of a brand refresh, the opening of a new location, and the addition of new senior leadership. According to Clay Morel, executive vice president of Atterro, all changes align with the company’s strategic vision for growth and expansion.

“We have been in the business of IT staffing and recruiting for over 25 years, primarily in the Dallas and Houston markets,” says Morel. “Technology isn’t slowing down, and neither are we. As we prepare for future growth, we want to put our best face forward. Our updated branding better reflects who we are and what we do. And our growing leadership team is going to help us get to where we need to be.”

THE REFRESHED BRAND
The brand refresh includes a new logo, tagline, and website. Susan Rylance, senior vice president of marketing and talent acquisition at Atterro, says the new look was designed to visually communicate the personality of the brand.

“Our people are friendly, approachable, and knowledgeable – and we want the brand to reflect these attributes,” shares Rylance. “With this in mind, we created branding materials that are modern and clean with a vibrant color palette.”

Rylance notes that the updated website offers easy-to-navigate functionality and even more information about IT staffing and recruiting, including a new blog. It also features the new logo which incorporates a power button icon made with the image of a person.

“As an IT staffing agency, we needed our logo to communicate both the people and technology sides of our business,” says Rylance. “The logo and tagline – Powering People – work together to emphasize how our IT recruiters focus on the people behind the technology.”

THE NEW LOCATION & LEADERSHIP
The brand refresh and website launch coincide with a ramp up for Technical ProSource to expand into new markets, starting with the Minneapolis office that opened today. The new office is housed in Atterro’s corporate headquarters in downtown Minneapolis. Like the other locations, the Minneapolis office specializes in staffing and recruiting for IT positions, including app development, database management, web development, IT security, and more.

To lead the changes taking place within Technical ProSource, staffing industry veteran Scott Garfield was recently added to the team as vice president. Garfield brings 20 years of staffing leadership experience to the role and has managed territories in excess of $150 million dollars.

“I could not be more excited about the future of Technical ProSource. We have plans to continue to open new markets, in addition to our newest office in Minneapolis, while further growing our existing business in Dallas and Houston,” says Garfield. “With our new leadership team in place and with the support of Atterro we are poised to have tremendous growth for years to come.”

Morel notes that in spite of all of the changes taking place within Technical ProSource, one thing remains the same: “Our commitment to our clients, talent, and employees continues to be #1. While we have a new look and are serving new markets, we will continue to offer the same high-quality service that people have come to expect from Technical ProSource.”
