Answering customer needs
During the first ten years of our history, our Pro Staff brand built a base of loyal customers needing administrative and light industrial temporary staff. As our customers business grew, we grew with them by expanding our service offerings to include workforce management solutions. Then they told us they wanted more – more of the same responsive and personal service in more employment areas. We heard them and we grew: first, in creative, interactive and marketing, and then into the fields of engineering and finance and accounting.

Atterro, Inc. was founded in 1982 as Dobbs Temporary Services, Inc. by Jeff Dobbs in Minneapolis, MN. In 1989, the business name was changed from Dobbs Temporary Services to Pro Staff to reflect the professional services provided.
Within the first 10 years, nine offices in the Twin Cities area were opened with further expansion into Greater Minnesota in the ‘90s as well as other markets. In 1985, Clay Morel, Doug Dobbs and Michael Morris partnered with Jeff Dobbs to open offices in Dallas and Houston, Texas. By 1998, Pro Staff had 200 offices in 28 states with over 800 internal staff and 78,000 talent paid for the year.
In 2010, with Pro Staff focused on administrative and light industrial disciplines, and the launching and acquisition of specialty brands to deliver niche services, Atterro, Inc. was created to be the identity of our expanding parent company.
In 2015, Atterro was acquired by Advantage Resourcing America Inc., which is a division of Recruit Holdings Co. Ltd. Now with the support of even greater resources, Atterro is in perfect position to continue our long and proud history of delivering the promise of people.

Our internship positions allow you to be part of an active and collaborative team, while also allowing you to have an immediate impact on the business. As an Atterro intern, you can learn about the staffing industry, gain exposure to different career paths, interact with senior leaders, build a professional network and create lasting friendships.
Internships in both recruiting and sales are available nationwide, during a 12-week period from May through August. Atterro recruits new interns each spring and has hired many interns as full-time associates upon graduation.

Atterro associates get time off work to volunteer
Volunteer Time Off (VTO) is a benefit available to eligible Atterro associates – offering 8 hours of paid time off to volunteer for a qualified program. It’s an opportunity to give back service hours to the community through important and meaningful programs or charities.
Atterro has dedicated support to The Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) during 2013 and 2014 as part of its Charity of Choice. The company has demonstrated its passion and promise to RMHC through the service hours contributed through Cooks for Kids, Brew Love, Fun Week and Halloween Pumpkin Carvings, as well as nearly $10,000 donated in 2014. That commitment continues in 2015 and beyond!
Atterro partners with BestPrep to prepare students for careers
Atterro supports the work of BestPrep, an organization offering Minnesota students hands-on experience to help them gain business, career and financial literacy skills to inspire their success in work and life. BestPrep is a statewide nonprofit that serves more than 51,000 students and teachers in grades 4-12 annually. Partnering with BestPrep, Atterro has conducted mock interviews with students and coached them on professional resume writing – creating a foundation for the success of tomorrow’s business professionals now.

Top 150 Workplace by the Minneapolis Star Tribune
The Star Tribune’s Top Workplaces program recognizes the most progressive companies in Minnesota based on an employee-based survey that measures organizational health, engagement, and job satisfaction. More than 2,100 companies were invited to participate, and more than 69,100 employees completed the survey. Rankings were calculated solely from employee responses and were administered by WorkplaceDynamics, an independent company specializing in employee engagement and retention.

Fewer than 2% of all staffing agencies in North America earned the 2015 Best of Staffing® Talent award for providing an exceptional permanent and temporary talent experience. Atterro’s Digital People, Hunter Hamilton and Technical ProSource have all been named on the 2015 Best of Staffing® Talent List.

Atterro was named the winner in the $100+ million class for company identification for our brand refresh, completed in collaboration with Dee Design Company. Feedback included: “Fresh design and great color palette. All materials work together for a cohesive look as a friendly, well-established staffing partner.”
